As you may know, a tiny house can transform the way you live your life, but Civic Works takes it a step further and transforms the lives of those actually building these homes. Working as a nonprofit in Baltimore communities for over 20 years, Civic Works has built its reputation on driving education, skills development, and community service through the construction of tiny homes.

Not only are we excited to showcase a Civic Works creation at our November show, but we are thrilled to highlight the behind-the-scenes builders that this company has helped provide a second chance for. Through Civic Works YouthBuild program, Baltimore City youth who have dropped out of high school are given the opportunity to gain construction training and certifications, assistance in earning a high school diploma, and help towards job placements.

Not only are the builders of these homes provided a new opportunity in life, but through the observation of trained professionals they construct livable tiny creations meeting RVIA certification standards. Civic Works currently has five models available that all cover less than 500 square feet and have options to customize. Check out more information on both their YouthBuild Program and Tiny House models available through their website.
